TETRECOM enables the recognition of letter and number knowledge in beginning schoolchildren. It can identify strengths and challenges in letter and number reading before they fully manifest, even before a visit to a specialized facility.

How it works
How it works
TETRECOM can determine whether a child can correctly identify printed and handwritten letters of the Czech alphabet and numbers from 0 to 20. The TETRECOM software tracks the eye movement path of the child, measures the time it takes for the child to read letters or numbers, and identifies issues with maintaining direction while reading and transitioning to the next line. It generates a test report, allowing results to be shared between the school and parents and records the development of letter and number reading over time for a specific child.
For the screening, you will need a normal computer, Tobii Eye Tracker 5 (eye movement sensor), and our TETRECOM software. In our package, course participants receive a free one-year TETRECOM license with the option to extend, along with a professional manual containing instructions and methodology, installation programs, and a diploma for students. License extensions for each subsequent year are subject to fees as per the general terms and price list. Our consultant may be available to provide support.

The advantage of our technology lies in the early and rapid detection of deficiencies. Problems are addressed in the acute phase. We aim to prevent difficulties from becoming ingrained and save valuable time for children during the period when a child is referred and waiting for an assessment at a school counseling facility.
The results of assessments using the TETRECOM application can help identify children for whom early intervention can minimize difficulties in reading, writing, and mathematics.
Lack of letter knowledge can hinder a child's understanding of the meaning of the text they are reading. This can reduce a child's comfort in the classroom, potentially affecting their behavior and, subsequently, placing an increased burden on teachers and parents.
The assessment allows for the identification of correctly read letters, misread letters, deviations in speech articulation, and letters that a child does not read correctly. For more information, click here.
